Menswear

Recently

here's a little peek into my life of late via my instagram. poor gus wasn't too impressed when he had to sport a fetching plastic cone after getting neutered, sorry about that gus, it's for the best. tea in my prettiest tea cup. new notebook from present and correct. new cowl from oh knit! which i absolutely love and have been wearing non-stop since it arrived. coffee, cookies and mint tea with my parents. a particularly delicious blood orange. gus back to his usual lounging self. meeting beautiful erin- my boyfriend's brand new baby niece who was just two days old in this picture- i hogged all the cuddles. the last leg of a six hour drive up to scotland. some amazing views over edinburgh- every time i go i fall more in love with the city, especially the buildings, the streets, the views, it's pretty magical. inside one of the crazy rooms in the camera obscura, which we visited on one of our little tourist trips. where we were staying- my parents' flat is in this incredibly grand looking building. i saw a little panda! one of the famous pandas at edinburgh zoo. some pretty flamingos. we were lucky to get a sunny day while we were at the zoo, and the views were beautiful. 

by the way, if you ever get the opportunity to visit edinburgh just go go go. forget london, seriously. ha.

if you've been following for a little while you might remember last september i posted a few of kristina's beautiful photos from london fashion week. well this time around she was there again, taking some pretty awesome photos of the collections, as well as backstage snaps and street style. once again i loved seeing lfw through her eyes.

It's a good look

my favourite outfit choices from last night's oscars ceremony were rooney mara in givenchy couture and milla jovovich in elie saab. both looked beautiful with their dark hair, red lips and white dresses.

i'm back! edinburgh was beautiful, as always. a few days is never really enough, there is too much to see and do.

Bloggers + Cats

i was very happy to oblige when blogger and fellow cat fan claire asked me to do an interview about ruby and gus as part of her bloggers and cats feature on lola is beauty. i could talk for way too long about these cats. i probably rambled on a bit as it is. the hardest part was choosing five pictures for claire to use, i could have sent an entire photo album. look how cute and tiny ruby was in this photo! if you also happen to be a crazy cat person you should go and have a read of my interview, and the others in the series. there are some very cute cats (and bloggers).

i also did an interview for the oh comely blog recently, which you can read here. oh comely is the most wonderful magazine - definitely worth a read if you haven't done so yet.

Favourite Blogs Part 1

i was asked recently if i would share some of my favourite blogs, and i've actually been meaning to do so for a while, so here goes. i have a lot of favourites so i'm splitting this up into a few posts- i hope you find a new favourite amongst them.

kingdom of style is a blog run by two women with a great sense of style and a lot of personality

vanessa jackman takes gorgeous, natural street style shots 

where the lovely things are does exactly what it says on the tin- it's full to the brim with truly lovely things. mallory has great taste. 

i have what you would probably call a little (big) internet crush on elise of pennyweight, she is another lady with impeccable taste- her pinterest is proof of that. it's hard to resist clicking 'repin' on everything she posts. 

i'm sure you've seen the beautiful jewellery designs of the vamoose, and her blog posts are just as beautiful- they're not all that frequent but they are absolutely worth the wait.
