Recently

instagram round-up! stocking up on magazines, i've been battling an infection that doesn't want to go away so lots of reading material is necessary for painful days / pretty pink tulips / packing paper and chain orders / literally had no choice but to buy this belt, it was sitting in the window of a second hand vintage shop whispering 'buy me' / paul's brother's cat had three tiny babies, cute / currently reading: a tree grows in brooklyn, really enjoying it / sleeping angel kitty in my way, too cute to move / spring! oh how i love thee / i made my papa a birthday card, he was 65! happy birthday dad / i also made him a tres leches cake, using this recipe from nook eatery, it was delicious, just looking at this picture makes me drool. so good. / gus doing a bit of sunbathing in our garden / until our peace was rudely interrupted by a bloody huge fire in the nursery behind our house- no one was hurt, it was empty, but the fire was massive, it burned for hours, scary stuff, and it was all started by a fridge. check your fire alarms people / making bracelets for paper and chain and playing around with new colours- this baby blue is particularly pretty, expect it in the shop soon / a little walk by the river on a beautiful spring evening / white cat + outdoors = dirty paws.

Spring!

i'll say it quietly because i don't want to scare it away but spring has sprung! i really couldn't be more excited about it. it's absolutely beautiful around here, the sun has been shining, the cats are playing outside,  i can sit in my garden and admire the weeds that have snuck up while i wasn't looking. it's brilliant, such a mood lifter. here's a little collection of things that give me that spring feeling:

Cat Flats: Spend / Save

this is confusing me. there is no doubt these missguided shoes are a blatant rip-off of the amazing charlotte olympia kitty flats. and there's no doubt they're not as nice as the originals, and they certainly wont be as well made, but they are cute aren't they? and they're £23.99- a fraction of the price of the charlotte olympia flats. at £485 the charlotte olympia's are just not an option for me, but as a certified cat lady they have been the object of my affection for quite some time.. so should i get myself some impostors or will i end up feeling guilty about buying copies and thinking about how i wished i had the originals? i've spent too long thinking about this already.

paris supplied me with most of my favourite looks of all the fashion weeks. although i'm amazed by the futuristic designs of sarah burton for alexander mcqueen, and the awesome set of the chanel show, my favourites are always the most simple and wearable. i really liked the chloe and the paul & joe shows, and i absolutely love love loved all the looks at valentino, along with the hair, make-up and shoes:
